This update has completely destroyed music playback. The popcorn hour is now completely useless for music playback. After playing 1 or 2 songs it stops and has to be reset. Please fix it!!!

For now, turn off your screensaver.

This models development is dead. Move on... that´s what I did.

I agree. No more Popcorns for me. Better buy an Ion-HTPC and just put XBMC inside! That's what I did, and couldn't be happier.

It's a shame finishing the cycle of an initially good product like this with updates like these.

Yeah, I upgraded to latest FW because I was having DTS dropouts constantly. Now that's gone but I get 2-3 times in a movie horrible stuttering ... plus OSD is a bit screwed. I'm ditching this as soon as I can grab myself xtreamer ultra.

Edit: I should've probably mentioned that I'm streaming from samba.

I'm too completely disappointed by this fw "upgrade".
Now the 90% of the 1080p .mkv is almost un-playable.
The same files remuxed on .ts are correctly played.
I'm streaming on NFS.

Any chance to downgrade fw? if yes how can i do it?
some suggestion for a "recommended" fw version ?

If your files are hosted on a PC, install MyIHome, it should solve your problem Wink

I'm still using March firmware (one year old), but I'm not using wifi connection, and really only using A-110 for Shoutcast radio and Transmission. You should search the forum and read the thread for the reported bugs about that firmware. Undecided

I'm suffering from these problems too:
- playing music stops after couple of songs. Turning off the screen saver does not help.

- OSD subtitle flickering bug: any new line of subs causes OSD settings to disapear.

- video may freeze after 10-40 minutes of watching (from internal/external HD) and I have to reboot and guess how many minutes I have to skip to continue the video.

Old bug: some subtitles has annoying delay that grows when the movie goes on. Sync works fine in PC, so what can I do?

I hope you can slightly change the layout of the music playback screen.
At the moment the screen is too small to display long song titles. I think it is better to show all text at the bottom of the screen using the entire width of the screen and showing the album art above it or use a scrolling bar method, the kind you already use when you list long filenames.

I do have the same problems when playing FLAC, very anoying and looking for a solution.

Hey guys

I've had my popcorn A110 for 3 years now. Have been very happy with the unit but of late it's not meeting all my needs.

I bought myself a the Astro A40 headset with the wireless Mixamp 5.8 but can't get the optical audio to work. Huh

Seems like it a FW fault. Noticed the A100 got an update...maybe us A110 owners will get lucky.

Anyways my next unit will be the Xtremer Ultra Big Grin
