connection drops after some time
Hi,
It seems my transmission (v2.12) connection (wired connection) keeps dropping after something like 10-15 minutes of downloading. After that all torrents stop downloading. Furthermore, it's also not accessible anymore through transmission remote, where I keep getting the error that the underlying connection was closed. Although web interfaces (transmission/oversight) are still available they take forever to load. So basically all internet connection is fine for about 10-15 minutes, and after that everything seems very, very limited in terms of speed. Anyone recognize this problem? |

RE: connection drops after some time
Please describe your network environment: 10/100/1000, wired/wireless, router settings, NMT network settings etc.

Popcorn 10/100/1000 setting is auto. The transmission settings are all default I guess. Not sure what other information you want. Nothing has changed, except the most recent firmware/transmission update. What's also strange is that there suddenly seems to be a limit on the number of FTP connections the popcorn allows. If I do some transfers thourgh FTP, the CSI wont connect anymore saying the FTP is not running or the max number of connections is reached. If the FTP transfer is finished, CSI is working again. This was never the case before the last firmware upgrade. So my hunch is that at some point some limit in connections or such is reached. |

FTP has always had a 3 connection limit. try setting the popcorn to 10/100 for a few days see how it goes

Anyway I'll change the 10/100 setting.. but I wonder if it makes a difference. Strange thing is that the connection is still alive, only transmission doesnt download anymore (it does continue to upload btw), and other things requiring outside connection (like apps or such) are extremely slow. |

RE: connection drops after some time
solved, I returned the unit some weeks ago due to a bad firmware upgrade. My router still had the IP address linked to the old mac address.. I guess this caused the conflict at some point
