Problems after firmware update
Greetings. I'm new here so forgive me if I'm not following the correct protocol in reporting these problems. I'm a bit stuck and would be gratefull for any help anyone could give me.
Yesterday I installed the new firmware update but now I have two problems: 1. When I start my PCH it seems to hang but after what seems 'n eternity it gives the message: ![]() Now I don't even have a server in my network and I can't figure out what my PCH is trying to do that makes it hang. Every time I go to the start up screen or "media" screen the same happens again and the popcorn hangs. 2. Second problem my the WN-100 wireless adapter. I can't make a connection to my Wireless network since the firmware update. My PCH sees my network but after I press connect it won't worK ![]() My wired connection does work. Does anybody have any ideas about what could be the problem. If you need more info just ask and I would be happy to give you all the information you need. I don't know how and I don't know if it's a permanent fix but the problem with the wireless adapter seems to have solved itself: ![]() Now only the first problem remains. I've browsed the forum and see that more people have experienced the same problem. I'm going to see if taking out the harddrive will stop the time-out. |

RE: Problems after firmware update
Me again, if I disconnect both the Wireless Adapter and the hard drive the PCH works fine. If I plugin either the hard drive or the wireless adapter or both the PCH stalls and gives the message can't connect to server. Don't have a clue what the next step is. I tried formatting my hard drive but the PCH won't even do that even if my firmware is uptodate.
I hate machines. Suddenly it works. Don't know how. Don't know why. But it works. I have my doubts if it's permanent. I'll keep you posted. |

RE: Problems after firmware update
