[MLMJ] Upgrading from Movie Collector v6 to v7

Hi all.

For anyone who might be interested I just upgraded Movie Collector Pro from v6 to v7 taking advantage of the current sale at Collectorz.com (@$14.95). I was a bit leery, not knowing whether MLMJ would still work. However, all is working fine after the upgrade. Not detecting any problems with MLMJ.

Thanks for sharing this info, as I am sure that some people are waiting for this info before the upgrade. However after reviewing the "updates" to this version I am not seeing anything that is even worth the $15 extra, but that is just me. I would rather put the $15 toward Legion455 (the MLMJ software writer) to keep this project going. But again, thanks for keeping us in the loop about the update.

Keep in mind that v6 and v7 no longer have any external site info, including IMDb (and rating).
Collectorz is only using their own online database, and as best I can recall v7 only allows
you to save *your* database online on their site (no more local copy).

For those reasons I still stay on v5.6

Hi garp. I can save the database locally. No probs on that front.

garp, I upgraded to v6, but am thinking of going back to v5.6 because of the external site info. Does your IMDB script still work in v5? Under v6 I was using the Kollection scripts to update from IMDB (which also are no longer supported) and because of changes to the IMDB site those scripts are no longer picking up some of the data (like the Audience Rating field for example)

Yes you're right. I looked into it further and the online storage is an added $20/yr option
in order to have access from any computer (ie web access).

@gsbaker, yes it still works except for poster image -- which I don't need with DVDEmpire and Collectorz as first source before IMDb.
