Intel sodaville chip is not new it's been there from 2008.... google on sodaville
popcorn and soda......

All they announced is a partnership with intel for the possibility of a new player based on it.. There is no player to announce exactly how they ordered it manufacured.. While there are options for what you can get and it might be too early for syasbas to announce their plans here is some generic info about it..
Intel's consumer electroncis website (dev site, not end user) a PDF about the chip a not intel, not pdf article including hte specs Intel Widgets Keep in mind when reading this, theres TONS of options even from sigma that not everyone uses, cost to much or meant for dvr/pvr/set top boxes and make no sence.. just becuase you read it doesn't mean it is coming.... syabas hasn't announced any specific what they are making or thinking of making plans.. jsut that they are working with intel (and I'm really happy, I like that chipset) The CE4100 is the same chip in use by the logitech googletv, the dlink and iomega boxxee box, many tvs offering connected internet and/or android built in, the asus microsoft media center esomething or other, and a slight variation of this chip is in the new a.c. ryan product.. |
