Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Hi, its been i while since ive been to the forums and i'm a bit behind on all the news. I just came from the main website of PCH and i noticed the Network Media Jukebox that is being featured. I'm sure all the new units have this software included (Is it included? or do i need to buy it as a separate application cuz i saw the apps market also being featured), But my question is, will it be possible to install this on my PCH A-110? If so how. I have a huge collection of videos spanning movies, TV series and Anime. Will the NMJ be able to catalog all of these in a format that i can navigate thru. Truthfully i have already categorized and organized my collections thru folders, But it will be a big help if the PCH can do this for me from now on.

Just a backgrounder, i have a PCH A-110 and ive been using it for around 2 years i think. And the amount of video that i have networked is huge. I have around 2000 movies not including anime and TV series. Aprox 8TB separated into 2TB HDD into 2, dual Bay NAS on the network. Once in a while i will connect my HDD swapable USB drives and load the other HDD's that contain the TV series and Anime.

I wonder, even if i bought the new popcorn Hour unit with the NMJ, if it can catalog all these.

NMJ only on 200 series I'm afraid, but there are various other jukebox solutions available on the A110 (YAMJ, Oversight, UMC) have you investigate those?

Oversight seems to be getting better reviews ever since NMJ was launched .. everyone seems to think it's a much better program with better scanning and scraping than this early release of NMJ- I have only ever used Oversight on my A110 and it's brilliant... however, you do need an internal HDD or I think you can put it on a USB

I think Oversight is already installable on a USB Stick. It's the only other Movie Jukebox (besides NMJ) that resides fully on the NMT.

100 series players MUST install a hard drive. Installing NMT on a usb stick is not supported.

Has that something to do with the lack of a USB Slave function?

Thanks for the info guys. I've heard of YAMJ, and i've read it on wiki but first time ive heard of Oversight or UMC. I'll take a look at these and post how it goes. Also i do have an internal HDD on the popcorn. I just placed an 80GBb in there cuz the popcorn has gone thru 4 HDDs already. 2 500Gb and 1Tb. It all broke down primarily because the primary use of the popcorn is a torrent downloader since it uses less electricity than my computer setup. I have never shut it down in 2 years, hence the HDDs were spinning constantly. I finally opened it up and placed in a fan on top of the HDD, why i didnt do this in the first place i dont know.
