nzbget - save good files in nzb collection containing bad files too
I have a 40gb nzb that I have downloaded with nzbget to my c200 internal hd. The nzb is a collection of television show with multiple episodes. During processing, one of the episodes can not be extracted because it doesn't have enough repair blocks. This causes nzbget to not extract any of the other episodes even though they are fine and have their own par files.
Is there someway I can use the config file to tell nzbget to extract AND save the files that are good and only skip over the bad files? Thanks, I've been trying to edit the nzb itself to leave out the particular episode but restarting the processing of an already downloaded nzb is a pain, and twice now it's still tried to extract the missing files (I think i have to edit the md5 file as well). Anyway, I would prefer to just have this done automatically, skip over bad files. Can I do that? |

RE: nzbget - save good files in nzb collection containing bad files too
In case anyone is having the same issue, the method I was attempting did end up working although it is really just a work around and I would prefer to know how to get NZBget to just do it for me. Either way here's what I did.
Downloaded this program to edit the original NZB: http://www.newsgroupdownloaders.com/nzbedit/ Find the directory with your original uploaded nzb file. (mine was in .nzbget/nzb/) *note that the .nzbget folder is hidden by default. Your uploaded file will have the extension .queued change it back to just .nzb Open it with nzbedit and delete the entry for the bad file. Browse to your download folder with all the rar and par files. Open your .md5 file (if your nzb contains one) Delete all the entries referencing the bad file to be extracted. Delete all of the rar and par files from the download directory that are associated with the video file that won't extract. delete the main .nfo file for the collection (or another small file...you just need one file to be missing to queue it back up) Browse to and open .nzbget/nzbget.conf and change the setting MergeNzb=no to MergeNzb=yes save it. Shut down NZBget and turn it back on. Add the edited NZB file to your queue. It will skip all of the files that are already downloaded and won't stall because of the missing par files for the particular video file. It will download the deleted .nfo file and extract everything. You'll still be missing the video file that was bad, but everything else will be extracted properly. (In my case i just downloaded the missing episode from another source)[/i] |
