Music juke box 8.2 setup question

hi all
im trying to set up music jukebox 8.2 on a pch c-200.
heres what i have so far

Music folder
C:\Shares (Synced shares 1)\iTunes
this is the location of the itunes library

Output folder
Y:\Music Jukebox\
this is a network share on the pc of the above itunes library

popcorn hour path to music
NETWORK_SHARE/mediapc:itunes
this is a share on the pch that links to the itunes folder - is that correct or shoud i have something else

i have this here, as i think its what i need to put in, but im not sure..

any one have any ideas, basically when i go to browse the pch the index doesnt seem to work,
its probably something easy, if anyone spots it let me know.

try in "Popcorn hour path to menu" forward slash / instead of backward slash \
also not sure what colons : are doing in mediapc:itunes

I recommend creating a Network Share on the C-200 itself (Setup menu/Network Share option) that connects to your iTunes folder on your PC. Save the share with a name like 'Music'. Then the PCH Path to Music would be 'NETWORK_SHARE/Music' This type of setup will also help you out later (you can copy index.htm from your Music Jukebox menu folder to your shared folder on your PC to start your music menu automatically).

Your PCH Path to Menu would be 'NETWORK_SHARE/Music/Music Jukebox'. You should also configure Music Jukebox to ignore this folder because it is in the same directory structure as your music and you could confuse Music Jukebox.

Thanks for that, im getting closer, but i still havent got it fully working though.
what ive noticed is that the index file seems to be very small in size, and when i try to open the share with it on it, i get an error message. but if i then browse to the HTML for the "A"
, "B" "C" group etc, i can see the artwork, and play the tracks etc.
so could it be an issue with the "index.htm" file not being populated fully.?

index.htm is a very small file. It should only have a link to index_main.htm stored in your Music Jukebox menu folder (in an href=... entry). Can you post what the href=... contains? This should be the complete path to your menu files.

i said id just post this in the hope you might spot what ive done wrong. the 1st pic is how the shares are set up on the pc.
ie C:\Shares (Synced shares 1)\iTunes shared as \\mediapc\music
C:\Shares (Synced shares 1)\Menu shared as \\mediapc\menu

my pch resides at 192.168.0.199 and has 2 shares mapped back to
\\mediapc\music and \\mediapc\menu

any help appreciated.

Now we are getting somewhere. The Popcorn Hour can only see 1 share at a time. If it can see your menu share, it can't see your music share and vice versa. Remove the music and menu shares on the PCH. Create a new share 1 folder up 'C:\Shares (Synced shares 1)' as 'Media'. Replace the 2 shares on the Popcorn Hour with 1 that connects to 'Media', named 'MediaPC' or something similar so you remember what it is. Then set your PCH Path to Menu to 'NETWORK_SHARE/MediaPC/Menu' and the PCH Path to Music to 'NETWORK_SHARE/MediaPC/iTunes'. This way, both folders are accessible through the 1 share. Next, select option 'Delete All HTML' and regenerate. Lastly, copy index.htm to 'C:\Shares (Synced shares 1)\'. Let me know how it goes...

embarrassingly (and thanks for you patience on this), im still having an issue...
from your info in the reply, heres what i setup, i set up a share on the pc called media, which i then added to the PCH box.





once i created the index file, i copied that to the media folder, but cant play it on the pch...

have i set it up incorrectly again?
