uninstalling transmission

I uninstalled transmission as was unable to get to work out how to stop the torrent after a particular amount of seeding.

when i had gone back to the inbuilt torrent software and setup the scheduler to stop after a particular amount of seeding the torrent software totally ignored the schedule and carried on seeding.

i can't remember if i rebooted after uninstalling to reconfigure the built-in torrent downloader, but will do this again - if i get the same issue must i re-install the nmt apps fully again?
