Delaying the Start of an App
When the Transmission-App starts, not all of my connected USB-Drives are ready. Thats terrible because Transmission will start reindexing torrents cause it finds no data at the programm start, which takes hours.
So my idea is to delay the start of transmission by 30 or something seconds. Is it possible to do this, lets say something like "sleep 30". I dont know where 2 put this... i would be pleased if i could delay the start of all apps in any way .. thx in advance |

RE: Delaying the Start of an App
Not sure when it starts up but /share/start_app.sh is used for custom settings, however I think you'll want to add 'sleep 30' to
/share/early_start_app.sh which is where code is added to the FTP server startup script (and hence Telnet service). If FTP is started before Transmission, it will delay before Transmission is started. |

RE: Delaying the Start of an App
You're right -- I was looking at the A100 files.
![]() Yes, changes to start_app.sh on C200/A200 will be persistent between reboots. I suggest adding a sleep command near the end of the file, reboot, and check results. |
