RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) - v0.16.2

As I said, the audioplugin transfers the output from the mpd software to the Sigma chip. So without plugin no sound on the audio ports. On normal Linux computers the output of mpd would e.g. be sent to ALSA drivers which pass it on to the audio card. On the Popcorn during the transfer the audioplugin truncates wordlengths over 16 bits back to 16-bit. It does not transform the bits in the 16-bit word, but just truncates everything after those 16-bits. So it's 16-bit in (the same) 16-bit out, but also 24-bit in and (the first) 16-bit out. - aleg -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PCH A100 (Stable firmware), 250GB 2.5"" WD Caviar-PATA, Connected to Pioneer KRL32V at HDMI 1080p60/50/24, Ubuntu Server NAS, Naim DAC + XPS-2, mpd + iPod with mPod |
