Guys is a continous spinning of the hdd a side effect of using MPD ?

Mine is hot and the HDD keeps spinning, ever since installing MPD.

Seems to remember to have same problem with the release now in CSI.

Is a bit of a show stopper for me, because of the noise in the living room and maybe the life of my HDD..
