Can Popcornhour play back MKV (From Blu-ray ) backups as playing on my PC?
I have a bundle of blu ray discs, I’m thinking of buying a Popcornhour C-200 but my concerning is whether this player can play MKV backups i have made from my Blurays. What i have done is..lossless copied the blu ray disc using ByteCopy and it came to be mkv file. I prefer MKV cause everything's the same with original blu-ray Disc, lossless quality, multiple subtitles and audio languages, chapters. I played them in window media player(with Shark007 codec pack) on my PC, and they worked like a charm.I want to know whether these MKV files will work with PopCornhour C-200 ?
I do upload some sample MKV files. Could anyone pleased do me a favor and test these MKV videos on this device ? Help on getting this clarified would be greatly appreciated!! Waiting on them to download, I'm sure they will work, but will test anyway for you as soon as I get them.

Ok just tested.
Million Dollar Baby works flawlessly. Spiderman, The first english stream did not work, but the second english stream did work. But can't really do a full test of it since it only did the opening credits, I didn't get to see any people talking which helps to see if audio syncs up correctly. The Boondock Saints works fine. Toy Story 3 Seems to work but all I have with it are 2 commentary tracks no actual english track to listen too to make sure audio syncs with video correctly. I also make my Blu-ray backups as MKV.
It works flawlessly for me. (Blu-ray goes to storage box and MKV goes to my Jukebox.) I use DVDFab, TSMuxer and MKVMerge... |

Do you mean I need all the three programs so that to get MKV file with multi subs/audio tracks? Can the generated file be also supported by Popcorn Hour C200?
I am not familiar with the three programs you suggested but think it might be complicated to create MKV while with a single Pavtube ByteCopy I can get the lossless MKV I want with multi subs/audio tracks. Thanks all the same |

Yeah, MakeMKV is good, but unforturately it does not transcode or compress movie. For the time being I like Pavtube ByteCopy better becasue it allows for blu ray compression. This will save much space. A 2TB hard disk holds no more than 100 movies when you do directly copy. 720p is all right for me, and the processing time is acceptable with CUDA enabled.

He doesnt want compressed he wants full quality lossless rips.
There are better compression software than the pavtube stuff that we seem to see people join just to push. The constant spamming puts people off pavtube and makes them think its spamware.
