HDX 1000 suddenly stopped playing any movies

Yesterday my HDX 1000 just stopped playing any movies. When I start a movie I get a black screen for a couple of seconds and then it just jumps back to the selection screen. Sometimes I get a glimpse of a "Could not play" error message as well. It doesn't matter if I try playing from the hard drive or stream from my computer, same thing happens.

First i though it might be an overheating problem so I turned it off and waited for it to become cold but that didn't help. I believe I've had this problem before some time and it suddenly just started working. This time however it seems to be more permanent.
Hardware problem?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi!
Almost same problem here. When I try to play a movie I have a black screen but I can hear the sound of the movie.
The weird thing is that INFO or TIMESEEK are working (I can see the info bar and the timeseek incrustation).

I try to flash the firmware but still no video. I try to play a movie by using telnet (mono command) same issue.

Any idea?

I have the same problem, i made soft reset (power and eject buttons) and now it's like new works. Succes.
