Yes, I did see a couple of other error codes earlier in my update attempts - stupidly I didn't write them down. My bad. I hadn't realized that the support were perhaps offering a swap... again, silly me! I thought as my C200 was past 1 year old it wouldn't be covered. So I've just done some more investigating, and ran a packet dump of the popcorn <-> internet while running an update attempt. I can see this: Code: GET /firmware/update.jsp HTTP/1.0and then the next request to the files.sybas.com: Code: HEAD /myibox/firmware/update/popcornhour/03-04-110530-21-POP-408-000.bin HTTP/1.0And then the last "file" conversation is the request for the latest firmware, and the reply is of course the binary file (not shown lol!) Code: GET /myibox/firmware/update/popcornhour/03-04-110530-21-POP-408-000.bin HTTP/1.0There's a pause of almost exactly 15 seconds after downloading the binary file, and the next network traffic; the CRC check takes place at this point. And finally, the most critical part (apparently) of the whole online-download-check procedure; the conversation between the C200 and the syabas (amazon cloud service) server (on port 8443). I can see several packets flying each way, and then a very abrupt (two corrupt packets) halt, at which point the C200 had frozen with the ERR059. I've checked the MAC address again - from the sticker on the back of the C200, from the network setup config page, from my router DHCP logs, and finally from the first part of the network dump that I have attached above (I changed the last half of the address). I'm going to try installing the NMT apps, and LTU package. And then uninstall it, and try the page 1 procedure again. I'll try the internet connection via both my ADSL and Cable connections, and via the ADSL modem 'bridge' mode again for a really 'direct' connection without router, switch etc. Thank you again for your help - I really appreciate any thoughts and hints. |
