[SUBTITLE]Polish Subtitles how to display correctly?

I had posted a similar thread about a different movie I was having issues with.Does anyone have a guide on how to get Polish subtitles to display correctly?I am using a pc with english language.However the srt sub file i have is in polish but its missing the characters.I added the srt file as is to the mkv file it corresponds to but the subs arent displayed propely missing alot of accents on top of letters.Any idea how to fix this problem?When the subs are turned on in nmt its says(und) which means undefined subtitles im assuming.I'd like to know how to fix this so I can resolve this issue.Thank youhttp://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/31...D-srt.html

it's simple
in your nmt go to "settings" > "preferences" > "subtitle language" and set to "POLISH" or "Polski"

I have it setup that way.But the problem still exists.How is the .srt file supposed to be encoded?anscii or unicode? or utf-8 or any other format?And where do I find a program that will do almost any character set.I'm gonna try the file you attached and still same problem.even when I try to play it back through vlc player it doesnt show all the characters.Im gonna try nmt now and see if its any different but i doubt it.
Also is there a way to attach the subs without merge them with mkvmerge??for instance is it possible to just put the subs in the same folder as the movie??


Confirmed Still not displayed correctly.Nothing has changed.OK trying to figure out the encoding for the subtitles.What charset should i use for encoding?

Tried utf-8.tried iso 8859-2 among others still the same issue exists???can anyone help me out here??

Ok so i gave up on muxin the srt file into the mkv.So i decided I will just create a folder and call the srt file same as the movie file and have it run that way.However it seems as its not working.If its encoded into utf8 and i loose some of the characters it work but in ansi it doesnt work at all anyone have a fix???
