My A-110 Arrives Monday!!

Just installed the Hitachi 2TB drive and its been stuck on 0% for the last 10 mins

My exact drive was not listed in the compatabilty list but one similar does have the same problem

Is it worth me trying to format in my PC to NTFS? Or should I just return it?

Yes, format it in your PC then return it to your A-110 and run the NMT Setup.

Took me about 5 hours to format to NTFS with 512 sectors on my pc and still the same problem?

Any ideas?

Or do I just send the drive back?

I can't find any of the 2TB drives listed in the compatiblity chart in stock anywhere and under my £60 budget?

Should I drop to a 1.5TB for better compatibility?

The Hitachi HD has gone back today so I need help with a new drive?

I have checked the compatibiliy chart but most other 2TB drives are now unavailable, need alining or over my £60 budget?

Can anyone help with a 2TB (1.5TB if I have to) which meets these requirments?

Edit- Its looks like I'm going to have to go with Samsung HD204UI Spinpoint F4 2TB Hard Drive SATA 5400RPM 32MB Cache drive.

Hi

Yes, the Samsung drive is working ok it just runs VERY HOT!! After running a while the top of the case is too hot to touch!

I have had to sit my A-110 on a netbook cooler which I bought from the Pound Shop and it works great. (nice blue light as well)

I had to connect the HD to a SATA connection in my tower and format because of the 4k sector problem, but just follow the guide and it worked ok.

I also get 1.8GB free space.

Any idea how to get videos to play one after the other as I can only get one to repeat or stop?
