Can't watch media on Web Inteface

No, I'm not the creator of musicbrowser. I've simply adapted it to NMTs and added some of the scripting stuff.

So, really great job and thank you so much.

I liked it so much that now I will try to install it on an Ubuntu desktop (until I can get a NAS, my media is, let's say, distributed all over my home's "cloud"). I have not been able to find .deb packages (compiling apps is sometimes tricky, but...). I will also read the documentation and the forum to find out how to limit the folders which can be accessed. If I get it, I think is a very good solution for streaming abroad.

I re-read your first post and I have seen you already adviced me about the conf files. Sorry and thank you again!!!

if you want to use musicbrowser on Ubuntu, you have to download the original package from sourceforge. No deb package, it's pure PHP and needs a webserver to run. Ubuntu has Apach2 preinstalled and you only have to place the musicbrowser package in its web directory and edit the index.php to find your music.

If your media are scattered "in a cloud" you might be interested in another application I'm just preparing for release. It supports multiple paths to media directories, access control in 3 different ways, will also be usable to stream from or to NMTs (auto detection of Syabas browser with support for jsp playlist format and IR remote control) and can create a "friends" network of interconnected servers. It's written in Python and does not depend on any webserver, as a webserver is builtin.

It's in beta test right now. PM me, if you are interested to get a beta test version for Ubuntu.
