[Audio] A-110 DVD ISO movies play with extremely low volume
I recently upgraded my main A-110 to a A-210 with the intent of re-purposing the 110 in the family room. I figure instead of my 2 year old having access to the DVDs themselves, it is easier for me to rip them and have no discs to mess with when putting videos on for him. This would be things like Barney, Handy Manny, Thomas, etc.

Long story short, I went to play one of the ISO's the other day and the volume was super low. I am outputting via HDMI straight into the TV and so my audio settings are set to analog and stereo. If I play back any other file besides an ISO, the audio is fine and I will watch it at volume 6 -10. However, with the ISO's I had to set the volume to 25-35 just to hear it, which just doesn't seem right. I hope to avoid getting into the game where I am constantly increasing and decreasing the volume on the PCH just to make it so I can hear one thing, because when I play a video that is normally fine, I have to turn the volume on the PCH back down so that it doesn't sound all garbled and muffled.

If this is a short coming of the ISO format, would it make a difference to use video folder structure? Or is this something where I must either rip the videos to individual files or deal with raising and lowering the volumes on my TV and PCH?

For playback, I am simply using the network browser to browse to the remote ISO location. Again, the audio is just fine when it comes to playing back a bluray TS file.

Thanks

RE: [Audio] A-110 DVD ISO movies play with extremely low volume
Same problem here the ISO are verry low volume unless hooked up to AVR on passthrough and other formats are fine (MKV MP4 ECT). I posted on another thread about this and found remuxing to mkv solved the problem, but I am now having problems with MAKEMKV making the mkv stutter a bit just before the chapters switch on a few movies. So I am in the process of figureing that out. (I have 2 A-200's and 1 C-200) and the ISO audio problem is with them all..

Glad to hear it isnt me. Do I maintain menu structure if I go to MKV, I would assume yes, but i never mess with MKVs
