NMT A-110 - Possible Remote Damaged

Hi there,

Since yesterday the remote control of my A-110 NMT suddenly stopped working. The day before yesterday it was working without problems.

I tried changing its batteries but it didn't work neither. The remote control has not been dropped, or has received any damage. Actually all this time, I've stored it in a "home-made"; pouch to preserve its durability.

When not in use, I keep it stored in a dry place at normal environment temperature (25-35°C), in the pouch mentioned earlier.

What else do you think I could do to fix this annoying problem ???

PD: In the meantime is there other way to operate this NMT ???

Alright... I performed this simple test to check my remote functionality:

Unfortunately, it didn't pass.

So I'm still assuming the remote is the one damaged (pretty strange! how can be one day working, and the next day just die???)

I went to amazon.com and realized you can actually order from there, remotes. Wondering around I found that the IRK-200 is also compatible with the old NMT models like mine. So I ordered one of those.

In the meantime as requested before, do you guys have a URL, guide or something that could teach how can I operate my NMT by connecting a USB keyboard to it ???

It's possible to operate your nmt from telnet. You might look into older threads.

A harmony remote will work as well....

Yea wondering around have seen many people make comments about those kinds of remotes.

Checking some of them (since there are several models) they look kind of expensive. What model do u recommend me to buy for the specific task of controlling again my A-110.

Hey guys, while I get a new remote I went for using a USB keyboard to control my NMT.

Do you know the keys combination or the key, to put it in "standby mode"

Don't know what you want to do with it. I would just go for the cheapest one.
