PCH Audio playlist format?
Hi,
I'm having an issue with my application (Kroozbox) where I want to implement CUE file extraction and playback. The issue I have is with NMT audio playlist format where we have: Song Title|Range Start|Range End|Song URL| Nice, but I need to make use of "Range start" and "Range End" and it doesn't seems to work properly. I tried with byte range, time range and frame range but nothing seems to make the player start (or end) anywhere else then the start (or end) of the file (always playing the full content of the .flac file). Any idea of what type of information should go there and if it those work? Thank you, Nono |

RE: PCH Audio playlist format?
The Range Start and End have never worked on any PCH player. I have also tried to implement CUE files in SwissCenter using this. On older (pre NMT) players that use Syabas middleware such as the Pinnacle ShowCenter the Range Start could be specified as an integer percentage to start playback from, and is implemented in SwissCenter as a way of resuming a movie. I never experimented with Range End back then to see if it ever worked.
You should find an old archived thread on the subject from when I first got the A-100. I don't remember it getting many replies so was never fixed/implemented on the PCH. Damn...
I'll try with fraction of percentage 0.0 to 1.0 and see.. maybe. Thanks, Nono |

RE: PCH Audio playlist format?
Well.. since it doesn't work with integer.. needed to try. Guess what!? it doesn't work either with decimals.
Will have to cut the track myself... aaaaaargh. Thanks, Nono P.S. upnp2http still working nicely (7 hours - no residual socket or memory leaks). In fact, I just realised the amount of work I will have to do if I have to implement a track cutter in my code (providing that Kroozbox supports more then 10 audio file format - reading header tags). Do you (anybody) know if there is any way to tell the Popcorn box to start and stop the audio file at specific locations within the file? From http header tag to other exotic playlist format - anything?? Thanks, Nono |
