Current youtube status
Hello,
I'm a long term APPLETV v1 owner - thinking of moving to a next generation media player with gigabit ethernet / internal sata support / and native 1080p media support.
I like the look of this new A-300.
One thing I'm uncertain of is whether there is any native youtube support - such that can the appliance directly stream content from youtube itself (not through any intermediary device)?
If there is support, is HD youtube content supported?
Also, is there any type of iPad/iPhone remote control app for the A300 that will allow one to easily input youtube search criteria through iPad/iPhone touch-screen keyboard, and navigate etc to results?
many thanks
Matt.

yes there is native youtube, yes it does 1080p, yes there is a remote options. there is two different kinds there is flingo which you can read about here http://www.flingo.org/ the only bad part is you have to be inside the flingo app on the pch. Or eyecon http://www.eyecontec.com/ but im not sure about eyecon and the A300 if it works 100%

I hate how they do that, the main point of the Internet is lost when you divide it up into little boxes. Reminds of how MTV Europe branched out into localized versions and became utter, utter crap.
