Am about to order an A-300, and have a simple question - will the RF based backlit C-200-RF remote control work with a new A-300 player? Thanks! |

there is no rf antenna on the A-300 so no. Just IR remotes

No you will get a nice backlit silver remote that works via IR with the A series.
There are fundamentals behind the letter distinction in the model numbering:- A series, small in size and IR remote. C series, RF remote, more SATA ports and other features. Full sized HiFi unit. The numbering of the models denotes the Sigma chip:- 100/110 - 8635 200/210 - 8643 300 - 8647 A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

Thanks. It's the backlighting on the remote that I was more looking for actually, so if the A-300 comes with a remote with backlit buttons, then I am happy. I've not seen any mention of that in any of the marketing material though.

It's coming with almost/is the exact same remote the A-210 came with.
The A-210's remote had a backlight, the A-300 should have it too. Popcorn Hour A-210 3.5" Samsung HD204UI 2tb HDD, HDMI, CAT6

The RF module is separate no? It's certainly something I will check when I get A300. No way I am living without RF

can you buy rf modules for the ir models? now that I would pay extra for and I have a whole lot of them
