I also have this problem... I wonder if it might depend on which hard disk you have installed, and if there is a "good" configuration in terms of spinning down and up... is there even a way to change this setting?
It's frustrating when you are half way through watching something and get called away, especially if it's one of those files that you have to watch from the start again. [EDIT: Probably worth adding that I went for the WESTERN DIGITAL Intern hårddisk Caviar Green WD20EARX 3.5" - 2 TB In terms of hard disk.] |

Mine is not hanging while spinning up - which would be fine and understandable - it just never restarts..

Latest firmware applied.
Connected to networked HDD. Pause movie and unable to recover A-300. Need to pull plug. Supposed fix (as talked about in this thread) does not work. |

Same for me.
Occurs during screensaver is activated. Latest firmware, connected to networked ReadyNaS X-RAID2, no power save/spin-down options allowed, no internal HDD
