RE: Adobe axes Flash for TV
The issue is that 3rd party developers might be hessitant to start development on a dead platform, hopefully syabus will convert flash to html5 (I think it was said that this was no problem) and in 6month-1year we'll have hmlt5 based interface, my wish. maybe not likely

RE: Adobe axes Flash for TV
no and no again why should we switch to an unfinished html5 standard with all its issues at this stage, and again flash is not dead they just stop developing new versions of the mobile flash, but still will close security holes and do bugfixing, they will focus on air and full flash, sooner or later full flash can run on any device.

It is understandable that Syabas will defend their wrong decision to pursue the Flash direction. In my opinion this is deadly wrong and the time already partally proved it... |

RE: Adobe axes Flash for TV
What about develop a new UI entirely in C programming, natively available for popcorn ?
I tested recently EFL project and especially Enna media center. This is entierly develop in C, and available aith several frontend as framebuffer, Xorg and wathever. Graphics are gret and reactivity too. On a sigma chip, I think this could be a huge experience. PCH-C200 + Samsung 1To PS3 160Go |
