Getting a WN-100

Anywhere to buy one of these still? Or any wireless adapter for the A-110?

The wn-150 isnt compatible and they no longer sell these on pch.com

Get a wireless bridge. It's faster and there are no compatibility issues.

Rather spend 10-20 bucks on an adpater than 60-100 on a bridge. When for 60-100 i could just get a new streamer altogether.

Any ideas on where to get a wn-100 still?

I was looking all over for the wn-100 for my A110 as well and couldn't find it anywhere. Then almost bought a used powerline adapter for $30, then ended up getting a new wireless bridge for $21. just set it up an hour ago and i am so glad i got this. Its a Trendnet bridge model # TEW-640MB. Its 300mbps. I haven't measured the smb/ftp transfer speed yet but i just streamed a 1080p mkv from the A300 upstairs and it played flawlessly. it took me about 10 min to set up the bridge. i am so glad i didnt get the powerline adapter. I got the bridge at bhphoto last week but the price had gone up a couple of $. you can probably find it for same price at other places or get a used one. I wasted hours looking for the wn-100. just get a cheap/used bridge.

Please take everyone advice and go for a wireless bridge or wireless access point setup:-

Look at your routers manufacturers site and see if it has a wireless access point or extender available to compliment it a lot do and it is easier for you then setting up a second router to act as the access point.

Using a router/access point means that the signal from the second device is then passed through ethernet to the NMT. Using ethernet doubles the speed over USB dongles and the WN100 or alternative are poor, the WN150 is still not great but achieves nearly double the speed of the Wn100 in my testing.

They can be cheaper than the dongle in any case:-

I use a TPLink ADSL router that I got for £36 and its the dongs danglies, has loads more options than other more expensive routers I've had before and keeps connections that other routers have dropped.

I think I have a WN-100 you can have for free - or almost free - you'll have to pay for the freight. If you're interested I'll take a look for it.

I just orderred a WN-100 from PopcornHour in France.
Ended up costing 32 Euro (298 SEK) så in wasn't the cheapest solution....but if it works I can live with it..

I just hope they deliver :-)

well....it works to "split" network with, and of course one of the TP-cables can go to your popcorn.....
Doesn't bring you any closer to wireless thou.....

Seriously, if you thing you can make a wireless accesspoint out of a non-wireless switch, then I think you better either drop the idea of doing it yourself or start do some serious studying...If you please don´t mind me saying so....
