Hello all,

I have installed Transmission 2.50 on a Popcorn Hour A-200.
Now I'm getting the following lines in the file daemon.log:

[21:30:34.412] UDP Failed to set receive buffer: requested 4194304, got 1048576 (tr-udp.c:75)
[21:30:34.413] UDP Failed to set send buffer: requested 1048576, got 212992 (tr-udp.c:86)

The files .daemonresult, .installed and .setupresult are all empty.

From time to time the Popcorn Hour box loses it's network connection.

How can I solve this problem ?

The errors in your log are for certain unrelated to your connection problems. The UDP receive and send buffer errors are not harmful you can safely ignore them.

I even think that Transmission is unrelated to your network issues. Try disabling it and see if the problem continues to exist.

I'm sorry if that has been answered here already, but I just wanted to ask if it is somehow possible to only update Transmission to v.2.50. I installed it on my A-300 back in January. Do I have to uninstall the old version first? What do I have to untertake step for step to ensure my PCH still works like a charm afterwards?

How did you install Transmission before? What package, what method, what version?

I did it with CSI back in january of this year. So the version that was up-to-date back then.

You didn't answer what version but I will presume that it's 2.42-dath2 (and not LTU). You can simply install 2.50-dath1 through CSI. Everything will upgrade just fine. Only from pre 2.42 version you have to uninstall first.

Thank you for your answer. First I tried the current configuration (with Transmission 2.50) and a wired connection. The (connection) problems did not occur. So it had to be the wireless connection. After replacing the wireless USB adapter, all the connection problems are gone.

Thanks, but I think I will stay with the current version. Suddenly it works like a charm. I disabled uTP and since then Transmission reacts better und downloads faster.

Hi After I have update my firmware to the latest build for pch-c300 it seems like when ever I run a torrent now whole pch gets sluggish and gets stuck after every10-15 mins what is the solution to this problem ?

Hi!
Is it possible to go back from 2.50 to 2.42??
I need the old v2.42 or 2.60 because 2.50 is not allowed on my favorite Alt Tracker. When i use the CSI Installer, Transmission 2.42 is not in the List.
Please can someone help???
