A-110 no video to TV

I have an A-110 which has hardly been used. When it turns on, I get video to my TV, either via composite or HDMI. But after the initial screen, the output goes black. The light on the front is a solid orange. I have tried the remote stuff but nothing seems to do anything to the box. I have hit the reset button.

Is there some type of hard reset one can try? Is the unit toast? :o(

Most likely your video mode is set to a resolution or framerate that your TV doesn't support.
Look up the TV-Mode button in the Wiki.
Go slow with the sequence. Press TV-Mode, release. pause. Press a number, wait several seconds.

I have tried all the remote stuff on the unit, but it does not seem they are talking to each other. Meaning, trying to do the power delete type stuff never gets the unit
to reboot. I have tried all the TV-mode options also. But, if the remote and box are not talking, this is why I wondered if there is a hard reset that forces everything back to the default settings.
