[SUBTITLE] Can I play *.sub subtitles on my PCH-A110?
Hi all,
Does the *.sub subtitles format is supported by PCH-A110? It doesn't seem to pick it up or maybe I am doing something wrong? It just has to be in the same folder as the movie and has the same name right? Or do I have to convert it to some *.srt or something? Which software would be the best if that's the case? Thanks in advance for any advice. stone28 Popcorn Hour A110 and Pioneer: KRP-500A, SC-LX82, BDP-51; Tannoy Revolution Signature: DC6T (Bi-Amp), DC6LRC, DC4; Velodyne CHT-12Q, Xbox Elite. |

RE: [SUBTITLE] Can I play *.sub subtitles on my PCH-A110?
Yes, SUB (MicroDVD) format is supported, as is SUB/IDX format.
Which do you mean? For the MicroDVD, do this: MovieName.avi (/.mkv/.mp4/etc.) MovieName.sub (/.srt/.ass/etc.) The sub (MicroDVD format) text file should not be Unicode or some local encoding. Check what your sub file is. Try re-saving in UTF-8 or ANSI etc. if needed. You must enable subtitle language in the NMT settings. Thanks for that. It says at the end "idx/sub over http" is not supported. I'am streaming everything to my Popcorn from my Qnap server. Is it over http? I think it's SMB or NFS. Will it still work?

I think it's SMB or NFS. Will it still work? Yes it should work over NFS or SMB, but not http/UPnP/DLNA (unless you use a streamer like llink!). If you tell me exactly how you connect to the movie files I can probably tell you in what way you stream right now. On the other hand, your QNAP most likely has official documentation, or the/any QNAP forum most likely have guides and how-to's for setting up SMB/NFS-sharing from it. Thanks but now I'm sure I am using SMB or NFS so has to check now again with the subtitles. I had to do something wrong.
