Moved HDD to NAS, fails to play anything now
As the title indicates, I've recently purchased a homeserver, one of it's functions is a NAS.
I've moved the 1TB harddrive I had in PCH to the server, which functions as the central media source for an XBMC device and the PCH. However, the device fails to play any video file over the network. I'm postive the files are compatible, because I've played them all before. I access my server through the Media Source menu and browse to the folder where I store my TV series. When I press to play a file it says on "Buffering" for 30-seconds then displays "Failed to play". I've restored it to factory settings and the firmware was already the up-to-date. I'm puzzled, because I can access the files, which doesn't indicate a network issue. The device is wired on a 1Gbit switch with all other devices including the server. |
