Installed 2.5 HDD laptop drive in A-100 - PCH does not recognize it
I installed a 2.5" laptop drive using an adapter kit for 2.5 to 3.5 conversion. Connected the power cable. Local Hard Drvice does not show in the source list. I have two questions:
1) Should I be able to feel the HD vibrate or hum or anything? It does not, so I don't know if it is getting any power. There is a small blue light showing in the PCH labeled as IDE. I connected the Red/Black wires correctly. 2) I pulled the HDD out of a laptop and I know it's formatted as NTFS. Can I reformat it to EXT3 while inside the PCH? The laptop is dead, so I can't reninstall the HDD there. Note: I have 2 separate 2.5 HDD's and 2 separate A-100's and I've tried all 4 combinations with the same results. |

I have two questions: Go to the maintenance menu and install the nmt applications. this will format the drive in EXT2/EXT3... A100 4USB 2x2TB 2x1TB 250gb internal drive A110 250gb internal drive |

PCH doesn't recognize that I have a local hard drive. Therefore I can't reformat.
