Bluray ISO Audio Issues

Hi,

I have several Bluray ISO movies. I have noticed that the sound is a bit flakey. When chaning audio streams, sometimes the stream that I change to doesnt even have sound. A simple toggle of the audio streams seems to fix it.

I have tried with both Full Bluray navigation and simple with the same results.

For example, I was watching Ip Man yesterday. When I selected the LPCM audio stream, I got no sound. But when I changed to TrueHD, I had sound, then when I changed back to LPCM, it was fine.

This isn't a show stopper, but it can get quite annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?

Further to the post above. I have all audio set to passthru as my Denon AMP is capable of decoding all current audio formats.

I have a Denon 3808. I had the C-200 before the A-300 and had no such issues that I can recall using the exact same Bluray ISO's.

Maybe have same issue. Have a new C-300 with FW 2012.01.19 version and a Yamaha RX-V363. I had befora a NETGEAR Digital Ent. Elite. If i watch a blu-ray RIP (m2ts), and i want change audio track (from Eng DTS to Hun DD) i become no one audio signal. After changeing the Audio track, the C-300 stop playing the movie..... what could i do?

Similar behaviour for me. Playing full BD folder structure Kung Fu Panda 2 from NFS NAS with A-300, I can't hear italian DD. Switching other languages, only English TrueHD is working fine. After several attempts A-300 finally freezes.

Same issue for me with Denon 3310 & C-300. No such problem with A-210 and A-300 though. It is a bit surprising that A-300 would be different to the C-300 yet it really is. A-300 was much more responsive and reliable.

I have problems with audio from BD ISO files to. I use the same settings as you everything to passthrough because my Onkyo receiver can handle all types of sound streams.

It works perfectly with my C200 but on my C300 i get no sound at all then the real movie starts to play. Funny there is sound on the small theatricals in front of the main movie. I notished that then the mainmovie starts it normally switch in to DTS Master Audio.

It seems like there is a bug in firmware in the C300. The ISO's are full backup's made by AnyDVDHD

PS. is it possible to get anything on the hires display on the C300 except the logo?

This is exactly the type of behavior I am witnessing on my C-300 so I guess we can all hope it gets addressed in the next f/w release, otherwise, it spoils the product experience substantially.

Sometimes, you can fix the HD audio handshake problem by switching back and fourth between the audio streams, given there is more than one, which is mostly not the case with BD remux versions...

I found a work around for the problem. When you start the ISO rip you will pass through the menu's and theatricals adverts and in the end loose the DTS Master Audio when the main movie start.

Just let the movie run for a couple of seconds and press stop on the remote. Now the ISO will stop. Just pres play again but this time your C300 can see that you started it before and offer you to continiue playing of the movie from there you stopped last time (2 sec) accept this and the ISO will start the main movie directly with full DTS Master Audio

There is a menu based Audio option setting and a file based audio option.. the menu based options are probably lost or misinterpreted...
Some menu and file structure schemes are made in a extremely complex manner to frustrate ISO copy playback...

That sounds logical but those same complex audio streams worked just fine on the A-210 and A-300 so it's hardly the .iso format to blame.

I was not talking about "complex audio streams" or what's to blame for your problems....

Willem you say that the box has no flaws, but don't you wonder why the problem doesnt exist on the C200 - so it must be the programming of the new chip in the C300 who isnt up to standard. If people call the box defective or the software in the box defective really doesn't matter.

The result is the same - failure!

But i'm sure that Syabas would correct it in the next firmware update.

I just stated where I think the flaw was... quoting myself from 3 posts up "the menu based options are probably lost or misinterpreted..."

Certainly in cases where the C200 does play it the C300 should also.... but as I remember from my C200 some ISO's only played if extracted to folder....
