A110 won't boot past loading screen
Hi Guys, been having some issues with my A110 for the last couple of days.
The last time I used the player was Thursday night last week, left it on when I was finished as I normally do, then on Sunday afternoon I went to watch something, turned the TV on and the PCH was on the screen saver, pressed one of the direction keys on the remote to wake it up, the screen came up with my file list for about 2 seconds then went blank and my TV started showing "no signal" so I unplugged it for about 30 seconds then plugged it back in and started it up and got to the B&W loading screen, hung there for a while then just went black. I tried turning it off & on a few times until it finally came back to life and I thought everything was good again, then I got about 20mins into watching something and the player just froze, wouldn't respond to the remote so I had to unplug it again, since then I've only been able to get it to boot up to a blue screen a couple of times, but when it did it would only show the Network Browser option and not the internal HDD. Different things I've tried have been. 1. Connecting the PCH to the TV via composite (have been using HDMI since I got the unit a couple of years ago) 2. Powered off the unit and pressed the reset button on the front of the PCH 3. Plugging it into my desktop PC via USB slave, green light on the front of the unit comes on but doesn't show up in windows (yes, connected the power as well while doing this) 4. Removed the HDD from the PCH and tried starting it up again, same result, hangs at loading screen then goes blank 5. Connected the HDD directly to my desktop PC, installed ext2/ext3 drivers. My PC sees the drive fine and I can copy things off the drive. 6. Downloaded GParted and had it "scan and fix" the drive last night. Plugged it all back in before I left for work this morning and still have the same problem. Has anyone got some more things for me to try or has the player itself died?? Thanks in advance. Matt |

RE: A110 won't boot past loading screen
Some more info, got home this arvo and had another play with it. Got it to put to the home screen once using HDMI but it wasn't showing my HDD. Loaded the recovery firmware onto a flash drive and tried rebooting, same thing so had to do it using the jumper trick. According to that it successfully reloaded the firmware so I tried booting again and still no joy, couldn't get it to come up at all using HDMI got it to boot once or twice using composite, one of those times the HDD showing.

RE: A110 won't boot past loading screen
Might be set to a video mode not supported by the TV.

RE: A110 won't boot past loading screen
I had the same issue, I just changed the aspect ratio on the TV to original and it loaded fine. Try this, it might help
