Reinstall pch-a110 HDD and firmware
Hi guys,
Yesterday I had a problem when trying load the files from the internal hdd, it just got stuck in loading files proceses (blue screen at the beginning, when you conect pch after passing files using usb slave from a pc). But when I conect the pch a110 to the pc it works an load fine. The internal hdd is a WD 500gib, and had like 150 gigs free. I deleted most of the files and finally make it work but the .srt files didnt load at the beginning, after alot of work I made them run. So I guess the problem is with the internal HDD, so my question is how i can reformat the internal disk, and also the firemware version of my pch110, I try the reset to factory setting in mantaince options but it just modify the setting for video (etc) it didnt modify to a oldest firmware version at all. (I am really noob to this stuff but i guess that firmware version are store apart from the files of the internal disk) Well I hope I explain well my problem, english is my 2 lenguage (dispite i dont speak well my primmary lenguage also xd) (PD: I have all files backup already so thats why I want to reformat all to make it work fine again) |

RE: Reinstall pch-a110 HDD and firmware
Alright, 1st. if I'd be you, I will check the HDD integrity. You're saying that the HDD is a WD.
Then you should run "Data Lifeguard Diagnostic" which is a SW from WD, check the link above: Code: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?level1=6&lang=enYou could also try other 3rd. party software like: SpinRite HDD Regenerator According to the description of the problems, sound like the HDD is having problems, or the filesystem got damaged. For reinstalling NMT applications, check the following link, and follow those steps: Code: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/index.php/Reinstalling_NMT_AppsBTW... have you already checked, if your HDD is between those compatibility tested if not check that here:Code: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/index.php/HDD_Compatibility_A-100/A-110Gooo luck!
