A-300 vs. C-300
As far as I can tell the only difference between the A-300 and C-300 is that you can install a BluRay into the C-300 and the TFT panel on the front to play music without turning on the TV. Am I missing something else? As I already have a PS3 for Blu-Ray I think it's not really worth the extra $150 for the TFT functionality.
Someone please set me straight if I am wrong. I'm looking to order one or the other an was just surprised at the steep increase in price for the ability to play blu-ray. |

RE: A-300 vs. C-300
Good thinking and $150 gets you a good BD player without the problems.. and some money to buy some blurays
![]() Or just keep the money. ![]() A Networked Media Player with a optical drive is a bit of a contradiction in my view.. If you're not sure you need it...... you don't. RE: A-300 vs. C-300
Main differences:-
1. Additional ports for extra SATA device and internal USB device. 2. Additional space inside for extra components like ROM or HDD. 3. Bluray license. So no problems with 1:1 backups which have encryption plus all options like BDLive and PiP work. 4. RF remote control, no line of sight needed like IR remote on A series. 5. HiFi style unit for racking. 6. TFT screen for navigation without need for PC. 7. Font loading slot for quick/swop removal of HDD. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

All green and quiet, and only one running during playback. they are organized like the library. 4 for Arthouse movies, 4 Classic movies, 3 current video stuff that will be deleted or promoted to classic. 3 lossless audio. 1 DTS audio, 1 documentary, 3 TV series. Yes that's 19 Running NMJ on the Classic and current drives.
