Oversight SD support - Image Generation
I was a CRT luddite and held out longer than most before getting my Panny Plasma, but now I see no reason for supporting PAL modes in Oversight. Particularly - SD Fanart generation, which slows down the initial scan.

3 month before i retired my bedroom crt, so actually i have no need for CRT support.
But when it comes hard, maybe i have to resurrect my CRT, so a option for re-enabling would be nice. speedups are always encourages,
but i don't think it needs to be at the cost of existing users. Isn't it possible to make an option generate_sd_fanart that can be disabled, a check for the option will still take a little time, but its way less then generating the image.. This indeed seems the most suitable way to speedup the catalog proces without losing current users.

Ahh I voted to remove it.
First because at the beginning this whole thing just confused me. Second: I'd prefer to see flash version one day... Would the flash version then make no difference HD or SD? |
