RE: When loading myIhome the UI get Stuck (win 7 32 bit)
Hi, same problem and solved :

The right java version is included in the myIhome package.
Follow this steps :

0) let your Ihome installation (don't uninstall)
1) uninstall ALL your java version ("add / remove programs" or "programs and features")
2) start myIhome : it must claim a java installation (click OK)
3) download the latest package available (5.2) : http://www.popcornhour.com/download/myih..._note.html
4) install myIhome. You must see a java installation + it will uninstall the current version
5) start myIhome

It should work.
I think the problem comes from java update, or several java version installed on your computer.

I have the exact same problem (Windows 7 64 bit). Did everything above (had to install both 32 and 64 bit Java) but still the same revolving circle and myIhome hangs. Any more suggestions anyone?

RE: When loading myIhome the UI get Stuck (win 7 32 bit)
There is a much easier way to fix this than install or uninstall different Java versions which seems to be the standard solution presented in most of these threads. I have no proof that this will work for everyone though, keep that in mind, but it worked on my Windows XP 32-bit PC and now Windows 7 64-bit PC without any Java hassle or any changes to my myiHome installation. This enables you to have fresh Java installations too which should be a plus.

So how do we usually navigate in Windows without a mouse? With ALT, arrows and letters of course! (I guess you Apple people have something like this, in that case, try and confirm). These steps should enable the usage of your mouse again (or you can just keep using the keyboard).
1. Start myiHome and press ALT while the hourglass loads, the “File” alternative will light up for you in the top left corner.
2. Press E for “Edit” and then P for “Preferences”.
3. Now, you have a working mouse and can change your options. Once you have been in this screen and used your mouse, you can click OK or Cancel and use the mouse on the interface too, although it takes a couple of seconds before it works.

Let me know if I’m just lucky or if you get the same result. Good luck.

So it worked for you? That’s wonderful. I hope that's true for everyone here then, because I’ve had others confirm it too. Always begin with the most obvious, or in this case, maybe the least obvious alternative! I guess that depends on if you’re used to tweaking your mouse hz so much that you must use your keyboard to reset the USB ports again and again. Thank you for the confirmation anyway!
