[C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
Hi all,
I'm currently using PCH C300.
Movies can be handled by YAMJ Eversion very well.
Just wonder how can I get PCH to organize my music library too?
I saw around that Music Jukebox is html based only, not flash based.
Appreciate the advices.
Thanks.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
I use NMJ for all of my files including music.

You can setup NMJ to just scan your music files and produce a jukebox of just your music. See the thread/video here for how it looks:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=55384

4:46 onwards shows you Music in NMJ.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
Thanks Chris.
Do we have any naming rules (similar to YAMJ movies naming rules) for NMJ music files?
I want to ensure everything is scanned and recognized correctly so that cover arts will be downloaded right.
Thanks.
Oh, I found this:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=46095
It looks like NMJ will pull info from metadata of the files.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
Yep it will pull the information.

To prepare your files I open my mp3 and FLAC files with mp3tag. I then check the tags and reanme my tracks plus embed a front and back cover.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
The cover arts downloaded from mp3tag are from Amazon. Am I right?
The database there is quite limited. A lot of my music does not have the entry on Amazon.
Btw, if everything is downloaded by mp3tag, then NMJ's job is just to display them, right? NMJ will not pull any additional info for music files?

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
The covers can be downloaded from a number of sources. If its not available on one you can then search others.

Personally I have my music organised by artist and then a folder for each album. The tracks alone are in the folder no images as they are embedded within the track using mp3tag. The tracks are names artist - track name but there is a lot more in the tag that NMJ reads and uses, things like genres.

NMJ then scans the music track and picks up the metadata and embedded cover and creates my jukebox.

If you have covers in the same location as your tracks and don't want them to appear in your photo jukebox you can use the '.no_photo.nmj' file in the folder to stop that happening. Obviously if you embed and then delete there's no need to use any no_all.nmj files.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
Hello Chris,

hope u can help me with this problem ......

1. my music collection is basically of 4 different languages that is TELUGU, HINDI, TAMIL and ENGLISH.

2. How do i setup my collection for the A300 NMJ to read them properly. i dont have the artist name for Telugu, Tamil and Hindi albums so basically this is how my file structure

Telugu Albums -> 1.New Albums->album name with tracks
2.Old Albums->album name with tracks
3.My favorites->album name with tracks
4.My absolute favorites->album name with tracks

above is the structure for all the languages
3. My problem is that i cant change this order because it took me lot of man hours to do this and i have about 800 or so albums.

4. when i scan these the NMJ is showing like this. if a particular album is having 6 tracks its showing on nmj as 6 albums with each album having 1 track this is really annoying and i did try the mp3tag checked all the tracks and it shows fine with it but this happens in some albums like 200 of them

how should i work around with this hope to get help

thanks

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
use NMJED3.
there you can edit all your files.
drag and drop the mp3 files to the album were they belong.

RE: [C300] What music Jukebox are you using?
I'm using NMJ v2 on my C-300. When opening the Music Jukebox its default view is by Album. Is it possible to set the default view to 'by Artist'?
