Using QNAP and Synology NAS boxes on same network

hi there,

I currently have a QNAP TS-410 on my network and I use my C-200 to play HD mkv files over NFS using YAMJ/Eversion.

For additional storage, I am looking to purchase a Synology DS1812+ NAS to play HD mkv files over NFS using YAMJ/ Eversion

- Anyone have a similar setup with both the QNAP & Synology NAS boxes on the same same network?

- As they are both using NFS, will I encounter 'mounting' problems?

I know I could just buy another QNAP NAS which would make things cleaner, but was looking to get a different NAS this time - (would change my mind if people say this combination is an absolute no no)

any comments/feedback would be appreciated.

2 nas's are 2 nas's no matter what brands they are.. you shouldn't have any issues from teh nas side of things.. now the pch side?? on the 200 eversion is reliable with mounting so you should be good there but I can't speak for other setups using it.

Thanks for this accident. It is what I thought, but good to hear you are in agreement.
