Wont dissagree to the 2.5 solution..

The truth is that i ve bought a 2.5 SATA drive and also an IDE to SATA adapter... but i couldnt make it work.. (too many cables)...

then i had to buy an external USB case. the 2.5 SATA i bought was a Seagate 250gb... and i was amazed that it was completely silent...

Thats why i wanted to buy a 3.5 hd .. to avoid adapters...

Unless ofc u can advice me with a IDE to SATA adapter that actually works with PCH...

Waiting for ur replies... Thx in advance

i know the problems with the sata adapter but that was not what i mean Smile, i mean you should buy an 2,5" IDE HDD not an SATA there you wont have problems with the adapter because it is only an bridge with out any chips!!!

i never heard about problems with 2,5 to 3,5" IDE Adapters i think there wont be one because it is only an bridge and not more. On the sata adapter its different because it has also an chip to translate ide to sata.

the adapters should be really cheap so i think also when one dont works and thry an different one hahaha Smile i think the only thing what can happen that you have to cut off one pin on the adapter.
