Oversight -> Eversion - r2312 - direct - alpha testing - feedback

My Eversion crashes every time I do the following:

Browse to a movie or TV Show which is not connected (f.e. forgot to plug in USB drive) and start it. Then the screen goes black for 1 second and back I am.

Everything fine until now.

I can press once return and then eversion crashes. Ok I can restart it via the html browser view, so the PCH is not crashed, just eversion.

Can anyone test this for me, if she / he has the same symptoms?
The reason is that I don't have USB RAID turned on with all the movies 24/7

Doesn't eversion give you an error then press source file to go back to eversion.phf plug in USB drive then reload eversion it will error if nothing to display

Hmm when the file is not available it just goes black for second.

Funny that the crashing only happended in movies with boxset. I disabled boxset and it's working fine. Thats ok for me.

As mentioned in a previous post I would like to set it so that the 'watched' banner only appears on TV shows where ALL episodes have been watched and then turns off when a new one appears (or maybe has a 'new' banner).. what's the chances of that?

Also, with Oversight it was easy to mark each viewed episode so you could quickly see where you were up to in a series and it appears at the moment there is no way of keeping track.

Is there a short cut button to mark something as watched or visa versa ?

I know YAMJ has 'watched' - not sure how it is all implemented via skins. I'll take a look and get back.
If it is a case of jumping through hoops, then I think we should step back and properly think about how to implement,
- mark(watched)
- delist
- delete

It may be wrong approach to try to emulate the skins here too much. Instead we should get a nice API for skin makers to use.

Hey Atinkler and Lordy, did we do any headway with regards to marking of the watched episodes and movies?
I really like the eversion skin and flexibility, but can't live without oversights' features of marking/unmarking?
It doesn't make sense for me to use eversion then revert back to oversight to mark the watched series .

Maybe there's another thread I need to follow? The key though don't do much on the skin (green and red bring back to main menu).

Okay found the following setting in esettings-default.xml under eversion\settings

did a search on the net and looked at the forum on dentedboxes and found that the options are
Options:

home - the main menu/screen of Eversion.
menu - open the eversion menu
popboxexit - exit command for popbox players
eject - normal exit, act like eject button
start - the main PCH menu
apps - the appstore/app market (syabas app section).
YAMJ index file in the format of Type_Index_1 (ex: Other_All_1, Genres_Family_1)
url starting with file:// or http:// (pch players only, uses GAYA so not a full browser)
phf/flashlite url starting with phf://, (just take the file:// url and swap file:// with phf://)

can we tweak one of the above maybe url function to mark/unmark if it is even possible?

On another note, if I want to to let's say add a modified version of the menu "Unwatched" and split it to "Unwatched TV" and "Unwatched Movies" would be possible can someone point me in the right direction. Looked and there doesn't seem to be an option (wondering if only possible by implementing what is called eskin?).
Looked through all the files I didn't manage to find the list that has (All,Movies,New,TV Shows...etc) to reverse engineer the logic.

Also since I'm asking, is there an easy was to list by age as opposed to being alphabetical which is totally useless?
