Torrent pre and post processing
Hi,
I have recently purchased a PCH A300 which I plan to mainly use for watching downloaded TV shows and archived Blu-Ray/DVD ISO's. Currently I have a Linux workstation that downloads the shows using torrents. I use Flexget to retrieve the torrents from RSS feeds based on a lis of shows; these torrrents are sent to a TransmissionBT client to download the binary; once the dowload has finished the file is renamed and copied to a server share in a format that is acceptable to the YAMJ desktop utility which is run as scheduled job each day to create the YAMJ interface. Browsing these threads leads me to believe that all this could be done directly on the PCH but I am not sure which apps I would need to do this as many seem to be no longer supported. I notice that most of the sollutions on here seems to be for Usenet but this is not practicable for me. What are the best apps to accomplish my goals? What current apps are available? and is there any tutorials/instructions to do this. KaySee.

RE: Torrent pre and post processing
Yes this is possible. I've got a setup running that does exactly that.
The software used is: - Torrentwatch-X (CSI install) - Transmission 2.50 (CSI install) - A post prossesing script for Transmission. I've posted that here. Also look at the post below it. - Oversight (CSI install) Some Linux CLI experience is very useful setting this up, but I think you already have that. |

Thanks DathRarhek, thats about what I had come up with; all except Oversight, what is the advantage over YAMJ?
I have limited experiance with Linux except for writing bash scripts. Unfortunetly I am stuck at the first hurdle, I can not get CSI to work on my A-300. KaySee.

RE: Torrent pre and post processing
You need to have the NMT Apps installed with the FTP Server ON for the CSI to work. The CSI is installed on a PC.
Each of the userapps mentioned by DathRarheck have their own threads on the forum. Most in the 200 section but its still relevant in most cases for the 300. Select the A210 in the CSI and whether your NMT Appsare installed on USB or standard. The CSI thread has more details. Yes, I had done that, but I think my problem was either that the path to the folder containing CSI was to long or because there was spaces in the path names; any road as soon as I put CSI in a folder at the root of my C: drive called 'CSI' it started to work. During my search for a solution to my CSI woo's I read a few articles on using Usenet binary groups, plus I found that with a referral from the SickBeard site I could get unlimited Usenet access for £60 a year, I have decided to go with using SANnzbd + SickBeard + CoachPotato. RE: Torrent pre and post processing
I use usenet and dognzb that has been developed for the NMT. Works great:
https://dognzb.cr/shows I wake up each day to my favourite downloads all done and unrared ready to watch on the NMT. You can use sickbeard/sabnzb with it. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=60043 A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |
