A110 stuffed with hdds !

Hi,

i have been using for years my A110 with YAMJ on a networked access to my little 24/7 server.

The thing is my server is getting old and i am not planning on replacing it. It bugs all the time, i think it's close to physical death. I already had to replace some parts, but they are falling down one after the other.

I also have bandwith problems on my network to play properly BDD iso with HD-DTS.

Ok, so here is the challenge :

I have hooked to the server today 3 1tb hdd and 2 1.5 tb hdd (WD green caviar). They are low consumption and silent in their noiseblocker metal case.

I have them connected to sata ports so connection is fast.

My A110 only has a usb at the rear and i have 2 problems :

1. how can i connect with good quality bandwidth all my hdds to my A110 ? i guess usb is much less than enough, right ? can i use internal ide adapter to convert it to sata and demultiply sata connections into 5 sata ports ?

I wish all these hdd to power down automatically when not in use so they don't consume too much, so i guess i forget about nass servers, already had one, really noisy. They all will be in my tv furniture, so as quiet as posible.

2. i need to use yamj directly from the A110 and not anymore from my server, I guess i will still have to use a pc to generate periodically my movie list and the yamj wall, but that's fine. Is there a way to do it ?
