Popcorn hour remote messes up TV

Both my popcorn hour and popbox remotes mess up my TV. Right Arrow causes the TV to switch inputs. Home mutes the TV. Any ideas on how to get around this since it makes the popcorn hour and popbox unusable? I have a harmony remote so I can set it up in any manner. Is there a way to configure it to use a different set of IR codes?

The only solution I can come up with is very expensive. With the Harmony 900, I could set the popbox to do RF-only (I think I remember the 890 supporting that). The downside is that the remote is $300! Is there any cheaper universal remote that could send the TV command through IR and the popcorn hour/popbox only through RF?

The TV is Hannspree HSG1102.

I'm not sure what ever came of it but nobody has posted about it in a long time. I'd look for that thread and possibly contact support. There might be a solution for it.

I have been having this same problem with my Popcorn hour.. The only fix I have came up with(not really a fix at all) is using my Android Smartphone as a remote control. I would love to find a way to use a universal remote or the original popcorn hour remote with my tv!

The Harmony RF remotes come with a little rf to ir converter. you attach a little ir blaster to the ir sensor of each device and there is a little hood to block out other signals from interfering. You could use that to have the harmony control both units without conflict. I'm not sure the price but they aren't the budget models.

Yes, that helps and the best part is that you can split the signals from the RF->IR module over te 4 wires so you can seperate the IR commands per device.

I had a similar problem using the onkyo remote. Using the button to quickly change the settings of Audio and video on the onkyo remote, the A-400 sometimes got stuck and had to power-off forced.
Now I have my Harmony 1100 operational with the RF-option and the IR-modules sticked on the devices and this never happens again.

Shame is the last rumor, Logitech stops with the Harmony line. It's not profitable anymore in a niche market. They are trying to sell the Harmony brand.
