dll for CQC (Charmed Quark Controller)

I have an HDX-1000, that I've integrated into my collection of video souces with some degree of success, though not automated it yet.

I'm about to purchase CQC (http://www.charmedquark.com) to truly automate our brand new home and was wondering what the possibility of writing a dll to control the nmt over the network might be.

I'm assuming it can be done since Cinemar has a plugin that works reasonably well.

What's the opinion of how much work it would be, what info I'd need to get about protocols etc, and anything else I'm not aware of.

I'm not a dedicated programmer, and have never written dll's, but I'm assuming that I could figure it out with enough googling, forum posting, and handholding by as yet to be named good-natured fellow netsters.
