RE: x200 Series NZBget + Media Setup (media destination) as NTFS
I have NMT apps on a USB memory stick, partitioned and formatted by the NMT Install Wizard.
NZBGet is downloading to an internal HDD, formatted on a PC to NTFS. (Using the built in NZBGet)

I have a A200, using the "latest" firmware from May 27, 2011. (yes, more than a year ago)

If you want help it's always a good idea to give as much info as possible. Just writing "FAIL" doesn't give any hint on what's wrong.

Hi Pain..

Thanks for input..

-If i diddent say my problem starts when i connect a NTFS harddisk SATA/USB and selects the NTFS as "Media Setup" in NMT Setup Wizard on C200. Then new/old NZBget wont startup so i can see the IE Interface(it just shows as starting).

- Thats just a mystery for me.. I did the same as you.. memory stick formattet by C200 and install apps by (the "Fresh setup" in "nmt setup wizard"). I even tryed the same with a USB harddisk (that i used before for both apps and download destination). And then a NTFS SATA harddisk on the other end formattet by windows 7. I tryed a NTFS memory stick also in the destinetion end. The destinations was setup by the "Media Setup" in "NMT setup wizard" menu, how did you select download destination?.

- all disks are avalibel from windows network on a pc, the only thing i realized after i used the new firm+apps(C-200 [23 May 2012] ) resently is that after install i can no longer see the app and nzbget folders from windows, witch i could with the old firm/app install.I went back to the old setup so now i have only 1 ext3 usb harddisk for both apps+destination connectet to the c200 but after new firm+apps i see 2 drives on the pc 1=The usb harddisk 2=a "share" folder. i would maybe think that there should only be 1 network drive.. The usb harddisk named as share.

- im using the standart NZBget still but before on the old harddisk i used the new NZBget installed by the CSI installer. i then Uninstalled the new again with CSI. Could it be that it has removed some data from a chip in the c200 since i no longer can see the apps and nzbget folders?. The tests i have shown as fails was done in this order. removed new NZBget with CSI from old harddisk. Reformatet 2 new harddisks as NTFS and made 1harddisk EXT3+apps with the NMT setup wizard. Then selected the NTFS as "Media Setup".

- i whent back with one EXT3 harddisk and used the standart NZBget but i now realized with two movies that nzbget wont unpack the rar files.. as i remember even the standart NZBget did unpack auto matic once. This is the info NZBgives:

With only one ext3 harddisk and no memstick connected:
The 2 "Drives" seen from windows network shows these folders and they are all emty: 1-USB harddisk=Download, Lost+found, Music, Foto, Video... 2-share folder=Download, Lost+found, Music, Foto, Video...(the same folders).

Does it sound and look like your setup Pain or other people?.

RE: x200 Series NZBget + Media Setup (media destination) as NTFS
There is one thing that can cause strange problems. If you have NMT apps installed on both a USB stick and a HDD, then the installation on the HDD will be used.
Adding to the confusion is that when you install the NMT apps, the installer creates 3 or 4 partitions on the installation drive. You can only see the biggest partition when you look at it over network, so you might think there is nothing installed on the disk.

So if you want to have my installation, it's best to erase everything on the USB stick and HDD and start from scratch.

1. Put HDD in PC, and open "Disk management".
2. Look for which hdd is the PCH disk. Be careful so you don't pick the wrong disk. Verifiy that there is indeed several partitions on it.
3. Remove all partitions.
4. Create a new partition that covers the entire disk, and format it to NTFS.
5. Now you are ready with the HDD, so put it back in the C200.

6. Then attach the USB stick to your PC.
7. You can use "Disk Management" to look at the USB stick, and verify that it also has several partitions. Unfortunately you can't remove the partitions with this tool, so you will have to get another program.
8. Download and install the HP USB disk tool from here: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fi...ption.html
9. Use it to erase all partitions and format the USB stick to NTFS.
10. Put the USB stick back in the C200.

11. Start the NMT Install wizard, and install the NMT apps on the USB stick.
12. Start the NMT Install wizard again, and set the Media disk to the USB stick also.
13. From the network navigate to \\PCH-A200\share\.nzbget and find the file nzbget.conf
14. You need to edit this file, but you CANNOT use notepad. Notepad only knows Windows text file format, and will destroy the files on the C200 if you use it. I use Notepad++, but if you have another good editor you can use that.
15. Fill in the server login details.
16. Fill in the download destination, and save. My path looks like below. "PCH_SATA" is what I named my disk. You will have to find hat your disk is named.

Code:
# Destination-directory to store the downloaded files.
DestDir=/PCH_SATA/Download

Remember: The path is Case sensitive, so if you enter the path "pch_sata" for instance then it will not work.

17. Restart the C200, and then you should be ready.

Hi Pain..

-Thanks for the guide on how to select a NTFS drive for download location.. I will try it if i find time with patience enoughWink..

-My trubbel was that chris57 said a month ago that he thought i diddent have to mess with c++ text editor anymore as i just could use the "Media Setup" in "NMT setup wizard" menu to select were NZBget would download to. But then i guess that the menu is to select were the apps are located but that still dosent make sence if C200 pic´s the Sata and usb harddisk´s in a certan order and the first apps install it finds it will use!? Some day Werner or sombody have to explain what that menu is for.

Greets..

Hi Again Pain..

Does your version of selecting a NTFS harddisk for destination work with the newest CSI installed NZBget..?

I don't know, because I have never used any other version than the built in. My guess is that it will work.
