Oversight scanning problem.

C-200. During long time I have used old Oversight version r1426.
Yesterday, I make decision to change it to newest one. Old Oversight become works too slow, in case of find info for new video's. As recommended I uninstalled old via CSI, installed new, last available from CSI, mention scan path, etc and start All Rescan process. After 8 hours, nothing has been found. Looks like there is an issue with your machine seeing the internet.
It's showing major delays simply doing a google search:

Check you have telnet installed and that you have the latest firmware on your PCH (there are known issues with the DNS on some firmwares)
Can you browse youtube etc from the Apps with no issues?

Looks like you are right. Youtube from PCH app page just only show preview pictures, but not video. Other apps also sometime have problem to communicate with Inet. Old Oversight last month become very slow in process to find new video's info, but before that it works perfect at least two years. Ok, will try to resolve DNS issue.

Hi Sproglet.
I have installed latest C-200 firmware, reformat USB stick drive and reinstalled MNT apps. Installed last Oversight(v2.0-testing-r2362)
Now not have any problems with inet related NMT apps like YoTube, OutcastRadio, etc. But still have a problem with assess to internet search engines like google, yahoo, bing and all others from Oversight. At the same time the same URLs pinged ok from C-200 Linux. So, it not looks like as DNS issue. Would be very appreciated if someone helped me.

Work-Around Method 2 : Change DNS Server on the NMT
Go to you MNT Setup -> Network settings and :
1) If the secondary DNS server is blank then make it the same as whatever is currently in the Primary DNS server settings.
2) Now, change the primary DNS server to a well known one: Some easy to remember (and type) ones are : 4.2.2.1 , 4.2.2.2 , 4.2.2.4 Or you can use your ISP provided DNS setting (this is in your router configuration) You can also use OpenDNS ones (although I dont like them on servers for certain technical reasons)

I have used as primary DNS, Google Public DNS: 8.8.8.8
