Movie Jukebox GUI
Hi All,
I've tried using the Movie Jukebox GUI. I can get the images and the info on my films on screen, but am pulling my hair out trying to get them to play. I have my egreat connected to my PC via wired cable, and my movies are stored on my G: drive. My main os is on my C: drive, I use the G: drive purely for movie files, located at G:\Movies On my EGreat the movies are located at STEVE-PC:Movies smb://STEVE-PC/Movies Please help me, so that I don't spend another day trying to sort this out! My understanding is that I should be putting in location of movie files G:\Movies and that the default nmt path should be file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/[SMB] STEVE-PC/Movies PLEASE HELP! I think the program is awesome and really want it working! Many Thanks! I've tried the following using the link in one of the posts above: file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/%52SMB%54%20STEVE-PC:Movies/ and the 'traditional' approach file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/[SMB] STEVE-PC:Movies/ but neither work. I've also tried various other versions of the above but to no avail. My network share on my egreat is smb://STEVE-PC/Movies I've also tried it with another folder that is shared on my popcorn hour. smb://STEVE-PC/Public. This just has two video files in it, and again it generates the index fine but won't play. When I hit play in the Movies folder it even flicks the screen over to the blue NMT screen that pops up before playing some files then goes back to the movie jukebox page. I've tried various files, avi, single vob's, multi vobs, x264 but none play through the jukebox menu. HELP!!! Thanks for all the replies so far

Can you choose STEVE-PC:Movies "Media Source" and then Browse your movies ? Yes, then continue. Skip the GUI and make sure that the entry in the moviejukebox.properties read: mjb.nmtRootPath=file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/[SMB] STEVE-PC:Movies/ and then regenarate the MJB files again. Open the generated files in a browser (IE or Firefox) and point to the PLAY button in a detailed page of a movie (don't klick as it won't play on a PC), does the file name visible in the bottom part of the browser page look ok ? Yes, the try and do a cold restart of the box. I.e. make sure that you remove the power for a couple of minutes before restart. BTW, do you have a HDD in the box i.e. have you set the workgroup of the box to the same as the SMB-server ? /staffan |

RE: Movie Jukebox GUI
Thanks to everyone who has helped me. In the end it was the most simple of things, the first time I tried to generate the files I must have done it wrong and this was then stored in the cache. So every time I tried a different combination it didn't matter as the info was already cached. After unplugging the egreat for a few minutes and then using the share that staffanw initially suggested file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/[SMB] STEVE-PC:Movies/ it worked!
Once again, many thanks to you all, especially staffan! I'm a very happy boy now! [size=x-small] Popcorn Hour A110 1TB hard drive Panasonic TX-P37X10B Yamaha RX-V363 AV Receiver with Harman Kardon HKTS7 Speakers Logitech Harmony 885 Wii with usb loader xbox360 |
