Wow...HUGE release...and I am grateful to FINALLY see the audio boost back. That said, have you folks considered putting less into each release and decreasing the release cycle timelines? That should certainly reduce test cycles. Either way, I can't wait to try out the new boost for DVDs. Of course, I am also curious if Syabas is still trying to work with Sigma (i.e., pressure Sigma) to release a real fix for this issue. The boost is needed now because Sigma is not providing the real fix, but we all know the down side of boosting. Better than nothing, but definitely not a real fix.

Guess not. In Holland we have a proverb that says : children that ask too much get skipped. Since the great amount of requests for this it must be either that or it's just too difficult.

indeed and we are working on an real solution, as you said this should be only and temp fix.
yes we tried to release it 4 weeks earlier but everytime something was broken sorry for that

Hmmmm, downloading the Zip-file from popcornhour homepage, done

that 2 times now, but both times i get "not a valid source" when

i try to update the Nmt-Apps (syb8634.nmt). The "syb8634.nmt"

file in the zip archive on the PopcornHour home page differs with

12 byte (less) from the Rc5 release. The syb8634.nmt in the

Zip-File from PopcornHour site is 23 021 853 bytes and the one with

the Rc5 release is 23 021 865 bytes. Anyone else have the same problem ??

not to difficult but when you read the thread where we made the poll there was no room to make this thing in such short time because it needs also testing and other stuff, i hope we will get it into next final.

thx for the report i can verify that because on an german forum i get also that reports please install now over online update i will try to fix that as soon as makeable

The firmware update went smoothly. During the NMT application install (online) , I switched to another programme on the TV after a good while and when I switched back, it was all black. I power cycled the box, get to see the black and white pop corn, then a very short colour screen and its back to black.

I tried composite output and only see the black and white pop corn and after that black all the way.

Could access the PCH via web but thats it.

Anyone has the same issue ? Any suggestion ?

Okey, good to now that it's not just me then.

The reason i want the zip is that i have a usb-stick dedicated to

the firmware, and about 15 friends i take care of the update to

dts not complete still some files with that problem really strange but betatesters reports back that it is not many anymore
