dvr-ms support?

i would love to see dvr-ms support!
since its supports so many video-types,
this one would blend right in
wikipedia-link here

this would make the pch a mcahine also serving as media center extender then,
since the recordings of any windows media center stores in this format.

if it doesnt support dvr-ms: is this planned, or is there something

This would be great. I use mce to record everything to my PC and would love to be able to stream recordings to the PCH in my bedroom like I do with movies and iso's downoaded from t'internet.

For a media extender you can also investigate GB-PVR which integrates really well with the PCH. It provides all media centre functionality you get with MCE/VMC and you don't have to have to use that disaster called dvr-ms.

Note dvr-ms doesn't work with all versions of VMC because MS have replaced it with their next attempt wtv

If you really want to go the MS way, you'd probably be better of using a Media Extender that supports MS Media Center Edition. You could also schedule recordings that way, since you'd have the full MCE interface.

If you want to go the ultimate way, use your PCH with GBPVR . You will have everything you have now, plus a lot more. It will run perfectly on your Media Center Edition of Windows and you will have integration with your PCH. It's a great combination, it would just take some work to go from MC to GBPVR, but I believe that would be worth it.

Bump.....

I would really like to see this format supported. I'm getting tired of having to move the Xbox 360 down to my family room (where the PCH is) to watch stuff that was recorded with my pc. My EVA8000 (which has been replaced by the PCH and moved to the bedroom) supports it so I don't see why the PCH doesn't.
